Sections: Templates and editing
Sections are used for the editorial organisation of a page. Entries (text, images, etc.) are placed within sections. For editorial and ergonomic reasons (overview, loading times), it is advisable to create short pages with few sections rather than long pages with many sections and to distribute complex content over several pages if necessary.
Create new section templates
Administrators can edit the list of page sections that are displayed to editors when they click on "New section".
If, for example, you use a section with text on the left and a photo on the right particularly frequently, you can create a corresponding template and name it as you wish.
To do this, select the "NewSection" page under "Special pages" in the page tree.
You can now organise and name the individual sections and entries in the usual additor® way of working.
You can also restrict individual section types to specific user groups.
